The Sunday Blessing #1 · Sunday, October 25, 2026

You got an extra hour

Good morning, friend,

Welcome to the very first Sunday Blessing. Whether you're reading this with coffee before church, on a quiet porch, or still in bed (no judgment), I'm so glad you're here.

If you're in the UK, your clocks went back last night, so you got an extra hour. Here in the US, ours go back next Sunday. Isn't that a funny little picture of grace? Time we didn't earn, handed to us anyway. Let's give this one to God.

This week's verse

“It is because of Yahweh's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.”

Lamentations 3:22–23, WEB

Whatever last week held, the missed calls, the hard news, the things you wish you'd said differently, this morning is new. Not because everything is fixed, but because His compassion showed up again.

A prayer for your week

Lord, here is my week, all of it.
The meetings I'm dreading, and the ones I'm hoping for.
The people I love who are far from me.
The prayer I've stopped saying out loud because I'm tired of waiting.
Go ahead of me into Monday.
Sit with me on Wednesday when I'm running low.
And by Friday, let me look back and see that You were there all along.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

The Prayer Wall

Starting next week, this is where we'll pray together for the requests you send in, always without names. If you'd like us to pray for something this week, send it here.

One small practice: the one-line thank you

Every night this week, before you sleep, write one line: “Today, God gave me ___.” Just one. A kind text. A parking spot. A laugh with your kids. By Saturday you'll have seven quiet proofs that He hasn't forgotten you.

Your story matters

Has God carried you through something? We'd be honored to hear it. With your permission, we may share it anonymously in a future reel or letter: share your story.

Hit reply

Tell me: what's one thing you're carrying into this week? I read every reply and pray over each one.

You're not carrying it alone.
Stay Forever Blessed,
Forever Blessed
